TYPE OF HOOKS & SHACKLES
Grab Hooks
Grab hook manufacturer Peerless Chain makes grab hooks and clevis grab hooks designed with a special narrow throat used to shorten or hold a length of chain used in overhead lifting applications.
Shackles
Screw Pin Anchor/Chain Shackles allow quick and easy removal of the screw pin and can be useful in applications where the shackle is frequently removed, but not so much in applications where the pin is subject to torque or twisting.
Slip Hooks
A complete line of hooks including clevis grab hooks, clevis slip hooks, eye grab hooks, and eye slip hooks. Most of our lifting hooks are available in either 1045 carbon steel or alloy steel and used with Grade 43 or Grade 70 chain.
Thimble
The range of Crosby G411 (Standard duty ) and G414 (Extra Heavy duty design) Wire Rope Thimbles are hot dip galvanized for increased corrosion resistance. These thimbles provide a hard eye in a wire rope lifting sling, the standard option is most suitable for light duty applications.
