AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTORS OF USHA MARTIN WIRE ROPES
Wire rope is one of the most basic components of material handling. Much of modern material lifting and movement would not be possible without this strong and versatile product.
Broadly, wire rope consists of nothing more than multiple strands of metal wire laid or twisted into a helix.
By splicing eyes into the ends of wire ropes and/or installing spelter, swaged, or wedge sockets, or other end terminations, basic wire rope can be transformed into an almost infinite variety of rigging products and assemblies.
Wire ropes generally come in three components; the wires, the core, and the multi wire strands.
Usha Martin is one of the world’s leading manufacturer of wire rope. The wire rope manufacturing facilities located in Ranchi, Hoshiarpur, Dubai, Bangkok and UK produce one of the widest range of wire ropes in the world. The Global R&D center located in Italy, is actively engaged in designing of wire ropes. Usha Martin also has a comprehensive R&D facility in their manufacturing unit at Ranchi in India.
The Titan oil field rope from Usha Martin is designed to endure ultimate tests of strength and overpower turbulent waters. Manufactured by state-of-the-art technology, these ropes provide a superior strength to weight ratio and an enhanced working life.
Usha Martin provides a wide variety of wire ropes for general lifting purpose, boring, shipping, and regulating equipments for railways.
Usha Martin crane rope is designed to provide longer life, less downtime, and superior resistance to bending fatigue for lifting applications and adverse working conditions.
Usha Martin mining rope shows excellent breaking load capacity and higher resistance to fatigue, wear, and abrasion, helping its users to achieve reduced downtime, longer life, and lower maintenance cost of machines.
Designed & manufactured under stringent norms, Usha Martin elevator rope provides close dimensional tolerance and is aimed to provide jerk free movement of elevator.
Larger outer wire diameter, superior quality of galvanization, and application of high quality of lubricant in manufacturing to check corrosion considerably, together, extend life of every Usha Martin Fishing Rope.
Aerial ropes from Usha Martin are known for low maintenance, long life, excellent quality, and strength. Our product offerings include aerial haulage ropes, material handling ropes, rope for passenger ropeways, and other track ropes.
Some of the prestigious projects around the world like Vidyasagar Setu in Calcutta, Lions Gate Bridge in Vancouver, and TV Towers at UAE today are a few manifestations of Usha Martin’s expertise in structural systems.
Usha Martin, in collaboration with Gustav Wolf of Germany, provides conveyor cord having superior steel-rubber bonding, high strength, and a long life.
The 6x19 Classification of wire rope is the most widely used. With its combination of flexibility and wear resistance, rope in this class can be suited to the specific needs of diverse types of machinery and equipment.
The 6x37 Class of wire rope is characterized by a relatively large number of wires used in each strand. Ropes of this class are among the most flexible, due to a greater number of wires per strand. However their resistance to abrasion is less than ropes in the 6x19 class.
This wire rope classification consists of 6 outer strands of 36 wires, each with a fiber core (FC) or IWRC core, and is also available in galvanized or bright. The uses are similar to the 6x19 classification ropes, but are used in applications where more flexibility is required.
6 x 25 classification wire rope provides an excellent balance between fatigue and wear resistance. It gives excellent service with sheaves and drums of a moderate size. 6 x 25 classification ropes contain 6 strands with 15 through 26 wires per strand, no more than 12 of which are outside wires.
The 19x7 type rope has just 12 outer strands. European ropes tend to be of this type. Using the rope to it’s maximum fatigue life will cause the rope to deteriorate from the inside out.
The 8x19 classification, rotation-resistant ropes, are recommended for elevator purposes with a normal tensile grade of 1370 N/mm2 and 1570N/mm2 with sisal core. A special lubricant is used for this type of rope.
